Parish council news

At the last meeting, on January 12th we received the resignation of Councillor Adrian Howard. We are very grateful to Adrian for his service over the last few years and have appreciated his very helpful contributions to our decision making.

We now have two vacancies to be filled, and elections are due to be held in May. The role of us all in our communities is increasingly being talked about. We were pleased that 4 members of the public attended the meeting and gave their views on various items. If you would like to consider joining the Parish Council please contact one of the Councillors or Anne Coates, the Clerk.

The budget for the next financial year has been set, at £11,250 which is £1.030 more than the current year. This reflects anticipated increased costs in some areas, but also some savings in the cost of cutting the grass on The Green. The access only road to the east side of the School is still being used incorrectly as a through road, and so some work to make it less inviting as a through route is being considered. £1000 was put in the budget in anticipation of future work.

The next meeting of the Parish Council will be on 16th February.
