Hello, and welcome to our village of Palgrave. We will list the current scams being used in light of the coronavirus crisis on a separate drop down menu and will endeavour to keep these up to date.
The latest October newsletter is now available to read.
First, I would like to introduce myself. I am John Sparks and live with my wife at Peartree Cottage, Crossing Road where we have lived for nearly twelve years having moved here to retire originally from the West Midlands (Solihull) in 2008. If you are not familiar with the village you will find it to be very welcoming with lots of events and activities organised by both the Community (www.pdcc.co.uk) and Parish Councils (www.palgrave.onesuffolk.net) each providing excellent communication web sites and the Palgrave Star ( a monthly village booklet). Having served over the years on both organisations I felt duly equipped some years ago to take on the role of Neighbourhood Watch representative for the village which is why I am writing to you.
In case you are not aware of Neighbourhood Watch UK, it is a partnership where people come together to make their communities safer. It involves the Police, Community Safety departments of local authorities and other voluntary organisations and individuals who want to make their neighbourhoods better places to live. We are split into county regions, and I email to over 200 residents of Palgrave a monthly newsletter (www.suffolknwa.co.uk) plus other information regarding security matters.
If you would like to join ( no cost!), please either email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or phone (07973 976497) or put a note through my door (address as above).
Keep safe and best wishes,
