Walking group page updayed with April walks

Tuesday 10th April 2012

Jean Taylor will take us on a fairly easy circular walk of around 5 miles, with no stiles, starting at Mellis Church, along Cowpasture Lane (track) and through woodland paths towards Thornham. There we will skirt the area known as Thornham Walks and pass Thornham Parva Church before making our way back to the starting point along quiet lanes. After the walk we will go to The Railway Tavern at Mellis for refreshments.

Tuesday 24th April 2012

Mellis Church will also be the starting point for a gentle 4 ½ mile walk with no stiles to be lead by Pat Greenwood. After initially heading towards Gislingham we will veer off along grassy tracks and woodland paths towards Little Green and Burgate. After following the grassy track around the perimeter of Burgate Wood we will make our way back along quiet lanes to Little Green and the starting point. After the walk we will go to The Railway Tavern at Mellis for drinks.

If you wish to join us on either of these walks please be at Palgrave Community Centre car park ready to leave for the starting point at 9.45 a.m.
